      大連近代史研究學者 劉勇 :第一張照片是1905年日本甲午戰爭,日俄戰爭結束之後,關重忠到旅順拍攝的,但是拍攝時間應該是在1905年到1909年這4年期間,具體拍攝於哪一年很難去考究,這是我們迄今發現的最早的一張鴻臚井的照片,這個照片上有明顯的鴻臚井的標誌。鴻臚井當時就是在白玉山的山下,因為它是兩個亭子,這張照片無法印證哪一個亭子是鴻臚井的,但第二張照片就很好地把鴻臚井的位置,鴻臚井這個刻石的方向也很好地表明出來。現在從兩張照片對應看,鴻臚井是坐南朝北的方向放置的,它刻碑石的這麵朝著北側,它背靠的是南側,也就是海岸這一帶,現在這一帶房子都已經不在了。第三張照片就是說明現在鴻臚井所在的地方,立碑的地方僅剩了一座房子。

      杜鳳剛 大連理工大學教授:按照酒寄雅誌先生的研究,我們可以看到,在內藤湖南的日記當中搜索不到這方麵的記載。雖然是在一次講演會上,他曾經透露過這種信息,但是那次透露也是非常不自然的。但實際上他到旅順後,也給這個碑做過拓片,這些拓片在京都大學的內藤湖南文庫裏有收藏。因為在經曆了甲午戰爭、日俄戰爭之後,可以說從那個時候開始,日本就對東北這塊存有領土野心,所以對這樣的一個曆史界碑,肯定它是不會放過的。他就建議碑要日本收藏起來,後來就把這個碑通過海軍運到日本去了。
